Introduction
Puzzle Lab is provided by the organization identified as the developer on its Google Play listing ("we", "us" or "our"). This policy explains how Puzzle Lab version 1.1.0 (build 3) handles information.
You can use every core game without creating an account, accepting analytics, watching an advertisement or making a purchase. Please read this policy before using the app.
Data on your device
The app stores a randomly generated local installation identifier, game progress, unlocked levels, stars, best scores, Spark, Hint Tickets, daily-goal state, reward-ledger records, language, sound, music, haptic and analytics preferences on your device.
This information provides the game, remembers your settings and prevents duplicate local rewards. It is not uploaded as cloud-save data.
You can remove local data from Settings, Android's app-storage controls, or by uninstalling the app.
Network data and optional analytics
The app can request non-personal configuration, such as the result-sharing URL and play-policy values, from our API. Normal internet communication necessarily exposes technical request information such as IP address, date, time and user agent to the hosting service and security logs.
Anonymous usage statistics are off until you explicitly allow them on first launch or in Settings. When enabled, the app may send app starts, game starts, level completions and share-sheet openings, with limited fields such as app version, build, platform, language, game, level, stars and score.
Events include the random installation identifier, but the server stores an HMAC-SHA256 hash instead of the raw identifier. Events do not include your name, email address, contacts, puzzle answers, shared text or precise location. Analytics events are kept for up to 90 days. Turning the setting off stops future events.
App permissions
Puzzle Lab uses Android's Internet permission to load configuration, send analytics only after opt-in, and submit feedback only when you choose to do so.
Version 1.1.0 does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, precise location, phone state or Advertising ID.
Feedback you choose to send
If you submit feedback, we process the category, message, optional reply email, app version and build, platform, language, and the selected game or level when applicable. We use this information to investigate the issue and reply when requested.
The raw installation identifier is converted to an HMAC-SHA256 hash for duplicate handling and is not stored. Resolved or closed feedback is removed from the live database after no more than 365 days.
Advertising, accounts and purchases
Version 1.1.0 contains no AdMob or other advertising SDK, requests no Advertising ID permission, and displays no ads. It does not provide email or Google sign-in, account creation, cloud saves, subscriptions or in-app purchases.
If a future release adds any of these features, we will update the app, this policy and the relevant store declarations before that release.
Sharing and service providers
When you tap Share, Android opens its system share sheet. Nothing is posted until you choose another app and confirm. The receiving app processes the content under its own policy.
We use hosting, database and email infrastructure only to operate the API, optional analytics and feedback. We do not sell personal data and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Data may be processed where our service providers operate, subject to contractual and legal safeguards.
Security, retention and deletion
Production API traffic uses HTTPS. Access is limited and the service applies input allowlists, rate limits and administrative controls. No system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Local data can be removed through Settings, Android storage controls or uninstalling. Analytics expires automatically within 90 days.
To request deletion of feedback or other server-held data, use the privacy contact above and include the feedback reference when available. Backups may remain for up to 14 days before rotation.
Children
Puzzle Lab is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed primarily to children under 13. We do not knowingly request a child's name, email address or contact details. A parent or guardian can contact us about a concern.
Your choices and contact
You can decline anonymous statistics and still use all core games. You can change this choice in Settings at any time.
For privacy questions, access or deletion requests, or complaints, contact us by email.
We may update this policy when the app or law changes. The current effective date will appear at the top of this page.
